Wolfgang Hein's Obituary
Wolfgang Hein passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 72. Born in Germany on January 5, 1953, to the late Erwin and Christine Hein, Wolfgang brought a spirit of adventure, warmth, and generosity to all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Karin Hein; his children, Erich (Amy) and Kristie; his brother, Roland (Sue); and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Wolfgang was a man of many passions. He found joy in the great outdoors—whether skiing down snowy slopes, diving into the depths while scuba diving, or camping under the stars. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a true connoisseur of smoked meats and barbecue. A proud “foodie,” Wolfgang’s enthusiasm for cooking and sharing meals was matched only by his love of good company.
Wolfgang’s legacy is one of laughter, adventure, and deep familial love. His stories and his unwavering support will be missed more than words can express.
Memorial Visitation will be held at Sunset Legacy, 6541 Columbia Road, Olmsted Township, Ohio 44138 on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio (Section 41, Lot 691, Space 2).
