Careful consideration has been made regarding the following Rules and Regulations; they have been enacted in a sincere effort to preserve and enhance the overall beauty of the cemetery and assist in ensuring the safety of all who visit. Please share this very important document with family and friends that may be impacted, and please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions regarding such.Sincerely,Sunset Memorial ParkGeneral Guidelines·      Fresh cut flowers only February 1st through October 31st·      Artificial flowers/ decorations can be utilized from November 1st through January 31st·      Artificial flowers/ other decorations will be removed weekly when we go to mow/maintain our community burial gardens·      We ask that fresh cut flowers be placed in bronze vases that are an integral part of the memorial, or in a disposable “Pick Vase.”·      Fresh cut flowers will be removed when they become unsightly·      Semiprivate or Custom Estate decorations will only be removed if they become unsightly·      Benches with vase units will be allowed to leave flowers out even if in a community garden. They will be removed if they become unsightly·      Mausoleums will follow the same removal schedule as the outdoor areas of the park·      As weather permits, water will be made available at designated water spigots from May 1st through November 1stSpring Clean-upIn preparation for the New Year and growing season, Sunset Memorial Park will remove and dispose of all decorations not claimed by family members prior to February 1st. This includes our community burial gardens, mausoleums, niches, private estates, Abbey Cremation Trail, etc.HolidaysDecorations put out for St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, and Patriot’s Day will stay out for one full week following the holiday.Restrictions·      Non-floral standalone decorations are prohibited (this includes but is not limited to balloons, shepherd’s hooks, trinkets, statues, glass of any kind, garden/steppingstones, garden benches, pumpkins, ceramics, windchimes)·      Decorating surrounding trees, shrubs or landscape is prohibited·      Planting of any kind is prohibited ·      Mausoleum decorations are not permitted to be attached to crypt or niche fronts unless placed in an approved floral vase ·      Although not encouraged, potted plants will only be allowed out in our community gardens for one week following a holiday·      Vases need to be turned down during winter months (November 1st through February 1st)Funeral Service FlowersFlowers brought out to the cemetery in conjunction with a funeral and/or burial will be removed by cemetery personnel no later than 3 days following the service date SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY FLORAL DECORATIONS, PERSONAL ITEMS, OR ADORNMENTS PLACED WITHIN THE CEMETERY

General Guidelines

·      Fresh cut flowers only February 1st through October 31st

·      Artificial flowers/ decorations can be utilized from November 1st through January 31st

·      Artificial flowers/ other decorations will be removed weekly when we go to mow/maintain our community burial gardens

Spring Clean-up

In preparation for the New Year and growing season, Sunset Memorial Park will remove and dispose of all decorations not claimed by family members prior to February 1st. This includes our community burial gardens, mausoleums, niches, private estates, Abbey Cremation Trail, etc.

Decorations put out for St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, and Patriot’s Day will stay out for one full week following the holiday.
