Anthony J Scarpelli's Obituary
Anthony J. “Tony” Scarpelli, age 60, of Shefield Lake, Ohio passed away on December 13th, 2022. He was born to August “Gus” and Ruth Scarpelli (nee Smith) on February 13th, 1962, in Shefield Lake, Ohio. Tony was a proud Eagle Scout as well as a certified deep-sea diver. He attended the Ohio Diesel Tech School and also was a Third-Class Stationary Engineer. Tony also took pride in being a tugboat captain and the owner of South Shore Dredge and Dock, Inc. for over 20 years. South Shore Dredge and Dock has been taking care of the ice breaking in Vermillion for the past 20 years. Tony is survived by his brothers and sisters, August “Skip” Scarpelli, Nancy (Kevin) Brown, Joseph Scarpelli and Barbara (John) Lot; Nieces and Nephews, Lindy (Arin) Bruening, AJ Scarpelli, Kevin (Colleen) Brown, Dominic “Nick” (Jamie) Scarpelli, Joseph A. Scarpelli, Michael and Hannah Lot; Great nieces and nephews, Brooklyn, Emma, Cameron, Theo, Ty, McKenna and Ronin; and his great Aunt Donna Williamson. Tony was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Diane Scarpelli (nee Kirchner). Tony will always be fondly remembered for his helpfulness and hard work. We will have a Celebration of Life on Friday March 3rd, 2023, at 1pm at the Sunset Chapel in the large banquet room, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, 44070.
