Betsy was a lovely lady with a childlike quality about the things she loved. The vintage cartoon character, Betty Boop, was one of her favorites. She had floor mats in her red car with the likeness of Betty Boop on them
She loved to ballroom dance and took lessons for many years. Roller skating, however, was her very first love. Started skating at roller rinks as a young school girl, continuing her entire life. She was an excellent dance skater. She was able to enjoy this pastime till she was 88. She did simple skating with a partner at age 90. I will miss her energy and childlike love of all her favorite things. Betsy was a real inspiration to all who knew her. As long as I remember her, she will never really be gone.
