I’m so grateful I got to have Mrs. Crawford in my life. She was strong, no-nonsense, hilarious (although not always intentionally), and absolutely devoted to the people she loved. She cared for me the same way she cared for her own… with great food, blunt truth, and the kind of advice you didn’t ask for but probably needed.
One of my favorite memories of Mrs. Crawford is when Deanna and I managed to end up recovering from surgeries at the same time. We were a total mess… one of us couldn’t walk, the other couldn’t lift or sit up… and she showed up every week with food, cleaned the house, took us out, and tolerated our chaos with the electric scooter. Honestly, she deserved sainthood for not leaving us both in the Target.
She was steady, loving, and real in a way that stays with you. I will always be grateful for her, and my heart will always smile when I think of her.
“Please don’t harass Betty.” ❤️
All my love to the whole Crawford family, thank you for sharing her with the rest of us.
