Betty L Crawford's Obituary
Betty L. Crawford, 87, of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025.
She was born on November 12, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Leo and Elizabeth Alten. Betty was the beloved wife of 67 years to Joseph Crawford and a devoted mother to Joseph L. Crawford, Kevin Crawford, and Deanna Crawford; beloved sister to Robert (Marilyn) Alten; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her siblings Ronald Alten, Carol Steenstra, and Mary Ludwig.
Betty had a deep love for gardening and was especially proud of her roses. She was known for her incredible cooking and baking, always filling her home with warmth and delicious meals. A dedicated and supportive mother, she never missed one of her daughter’s softball games. She also enjoyed the simple pleasure of walking through the mall, often turning it into a time for reflection and connection.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Betty’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, with a memorial service to follow immediately at 12:00 PM in the chapel.
