Catherine A. Grenig's Obituary
Catherine A. “Cathy” Grenig, age 70, of North Olmsted, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026.
Born on September 18, 1955, in Euclid, Ohio, Cathy was the cherished daughter of the late John and Mary (Lindquist) Lindquist. She grew up surrounded by family and carried that deep sense of love and connection throughout her life.
Cathy was the devoted and beloved wife of 40 years to Mark Grenig, whose partnership and love were the foundation of her life. She was a caring sister to John Lindquist and Mary Lou Burns, and a proud and loving aunt to Erik, Jaclyn, Kristen, and Matthew; great aunt to Sparrow, Karleigh, Mason, Ferris, and Wyatt. Cathy was also a loyal and treasured friend to countless individuals—truly too many to mention—whose lives were made brighter by her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Ann and William Grenig; her brother-in-law, Michael Grenig; her sister-in-law, Tamra Lindquist; and her beloved aunts and uncles, Claudia (Joseph) Gabriel, Paul (June) Lindquist, John (Margaret) Lipinski, Thomas (Deanne) Lipinski, and Michael Lipinski.
Cathy had a deep love for animals and was a passionate advocate for their care and protection. She found great joy in supporting causes that gave a voice to those who could not speak for themselves. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she was truly a champion for all animals. Cathy also loved to travel, cherishing the many experiences and memories she made along the way with family and friends.
