If you wanted to find Charlie, you just had to look for the nearest golf course, bike trail, or breakfast diner. He found joy in the simple things and shared that joy with everyone he met. Having worked with him and played alongside him for over 50 years, I saw firsthand the kindness that defined him. Charlie, my friend, you will be missed. Rest in peace.
We explored Bratislava with Charlie and Michelle a "few" years ago, and he was the perfect guest. He was so gracious and kind. (This explains why Michelle has been such a wonderful friend to us for so many years ... the apple not having fallen far from the tree, as they say.) Our condolences to Charlie's family.
