Craig Todd Rattray passed away peacefully February 17, 2021 surrounded by family at Covenant Medical Center in Saginaw, MI. Craig is survived by his sons Aaron, Adam (Cindy), Ryan (Melanie), and Jerrod. Grandchildren Alexander, Onnalise, and Vivian. As well as his brothers Scot, Kirk (Elizabeth), Eric. Also, an extended family including several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Lincoln. Predeceasing Craig are father Reginald, Mother Jean and Brother Brian.
Born November 3, 1951, Craig attended Olmsted Falls High School and graduated with a BA in Accounting from Cleveland State University. Craig’s entrepreneurial spirit drove his career in executive management from which he retired in 2005. Craig’s experience in multiple industries aided in his success as former co-owner of RPI, Inc. and his senior management positions in the metal stamping and manufacturing industries.
Craig’s love for children and competition allowed him to touch many lives as he coached his sons’ and grandson’s baseball teams for many years. Craig encouraged teamwork, ingenuity, and perseverance to all those he mentored.
Craig is remembered as a generous and humorous man who never passed up an opportunity to assist others in need. Craig loved to make others laugh and had a childlike place in his heart for fun and games. Craig enjoyed sporting events, golfing, bowling, billiards, family board games, card games, and mostly playing with his grandchildren. Craig was an avid presidential and history buff, having a broad base of knowledge with particular reverence for Abraham Lincoln.
As a devout Christian Craig would insist that we not mourn his death, but rather celebrate the life he lived and his eternal life to come. GO BROWNS!
