Denise E Runevitch's Obituary
Denise E. Runevitch, age 73, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt, Denise lived a life full of joy, laughter and unwavering kindness.
Born on January 8, 1952, Denise shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Paul Runevitch. Together, they built a life rich in love, adventure, and cherished memories. She was the proud mother of Jennie (Greg) Wilkerson and Becky Runevitch, and a loving step-grandmother to Lucas Wilkerson, Evan Wilkerson and her “grandpug” Maggie, who brought her endless delight.
Denise’s life was filled with passions that reflected her vibrant spirit. She was an avid reader and movie enthusiast, always ready to discuss her latest favorite. She loved playing cards and board games while gathering with family and friends. She enjoyed sharing lots of laughter and spirited competition, especially during Parcheesi, where she took great pride in beating her opponents. Lunches with friends, celebrating family birthdays, theater outings, and trips to Disney World were among her favorite pastimes. A loyal Cleveland Browns fan, Denise cheered with heart no matter the score.
She is survived by her siblings Larry (Nancy) Tobey, John (Isabel) Tobey, and Dave (Tammy) Tobey, whose lifelong bond brought her strength and joy.
Denise will be remembered for her warmth, wit and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and inspired.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am - noon on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Sunset Legacy Chapel, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Service, interment and luncheon will follow.
