Ernest E. Allen's Obituary
Ernest E. Allen, age 90, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
He was born November 30, 1929 in Bim, WV . He is a Korean Conflict Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. Ernest enjoyed baking, reading, and wine making. He loved gardening and feeding the squirrels and birds in his yard like a true animal lover. He adored his family and will be greatly missed.
Devoted husband of the late Ella Jean (nee Hawley); cherished father of Charles E. (Tina) Allen, and Vanessa (nee Allen) (Gregg) Michelich, beloved grandfather of Nicole (Karl) Bort, Lauren (Ben) Vickers, and Brian Allen; treasured great grandfather of Aiden and Logan Bort, Mason and Madelyn Vickers; loving brother of Joe Eddie Allen and Homer Lemon; caring uncle and friend of many.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Bob, Jackie, Tommy, and Cecil Allen, and Charles and Jimmy Lemon.
Visitation for family and close friends will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 12PM – 2PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral service will commence at 2PM. Interment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park.
