Uncle Felix was the kindest of people. He was always calm, even in the face of his diagnosis he didn't want to dwell on the negative which made my last visits with him feel so much more enjoyable than a goodbye has any right to be. He always cared about what was going on with me, and everyone else who he knew. I am lucky that he was a part of my family- he was a great role model for me.
I love you Uncle Felix, and I'm going to miss you. Thank you for everything
I never met Felix but know his sister Robin who displays all the love of a beautiful family. My deepest sympathy to all.
Our family offers you our sincere sympathy! Felix was my dad partner while serving on the Cleveland Police Force. I got to know him and his wife when they would come out to visit my Dad. I always enjoyed being with them and hearing all the stories, and laughing! What a great guy! Always friendly and a smile on his face. Jocelyn, you are in my prayers daily and I hope and pray that you are able to find peace and comfort knowing he is at rest and hopefully most likely enjoying a reunion with Ted! Felix (Phil) was a wonderful man. He took care of his family with much love. I remember a funny moment when he came to my Dad's funeral with Doots and I hadn't seen her in a long time and asked if she was his wife! Boy did I get the Look!! Seriously we all loved him very much and I was saddened by his getting ill. Rest in Peace, Phil.
I remember looking through old black and white photos at mom and dad’s house, where there was a particular photo of you, and I, and mom, at the Cleveland Zoo; across the bottom of the photo, in mom’s handwriting was the caption, “Pookie and Tommy at the zoo 1946”. You and I were both dressed for winter with heavy plaid wool coats, and equally heavy bib type winter pants, our hats were the old circa 1940’s Elmer Fudd hats with the fur ear flaps, I imagine quite stylish at the time for a two and four year old.
To this day, every time that I watch the scene in the movie “Christmas Story” where Ralphie’s mother is getting his younger brother Randy dressed for school, in almost an identical winter outfit that mom had dressed us in, I flash back to the photo of you and I at the zoo with mom in 1946. You have been there since my beginning, you have been, and are a great brother, I do miss you!

Felix was a great brother-in-law. He was quick witted with an amazing personality and a hilarious sense of humor. I think that he generally made me laugh any time we talked. I loved him. I miss him.
Felix was an awesome uncle to my sons. He set a great example of living life to the fullest and doing so with kindness and integrity. My sons remember Felix as an important part of their childhood and their relationships continued into adulthood. My sons loved their Uncle Felix. They miss him.
There is so much more I could say but I’ll just promise that Felix will always be loved and remembered by the Wells family.
If there were more marines like Felix, the world would be a safer place. If there were more police officers like Felix, the world would be a more just place. If there were more people like Felix, the world would be a more loving place. He will be dearly missed, and always remembered.
