To Susan and the Patton Family. Jack was what I refer to as a Disney World Friend. By that I mean knowing him, and your mother Midge was both a magical experience and a reminder that it really is a small world after all! Jack was a pillar of our Church. It was an honor to get to know him and Midge for over 25 years. Sitting near them in a service was always a joy. Just to hear them both sing the hymns in such a beautiful and angelic way. As it turned out they both knew my parents through mutual friends, and as a result became a part of our large extended family! After Midge's passing I discovered Jack had also worked with one of my cousins at LTV Steel. It is a small world after all!
What I most admired about Jack was his grace, kindness, and positivity. In our early morning services he was a reminder of the goodness we find in people of faith and deep personal character. I loved and respected him for many years.
As Cicero said over 2000 years ago, "the life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living." Jack and Midge have given all who knew them treasured memories of a life full of joy. Memories of them, for your family and all of us, will keep them alive in our hearts and minds through those wonderful remembrances.
Peace and Blessings be With You and Your Family,
Tony DiBiasio
