Even though he has left this world far too soon, Jason remains one of the kindest and most considerate people I've ever known. His mother (my Auntie Pat) had three boys, and her sister (my Mom) had three boys as well. Jason was born four years before me, and when we three cousins came to visit it was always a joy, as Jason was more like an older brother to me. I've got fond memories of playing video games together (Super Metroid, Super Star Wars, WCW vs. NWO wrestling), enjoying cookouts, but mostly I remember how Jason made me feel.He could make people feel welcome, include everyone in an activity, and make sure that everyone was having a good time. Even when hanging out with us younger cousins, he'd make time for everyone and we'd all feel happier and closer because of it. He was a man with a great sense of empathy who cared deeply for others, which makes perfect sense with his choices of study, careers, and charitable missions. I'll happily support the Birdfeeder Food Bank, as looking out for people having a rough time is one of the most admirable goals someone can aspire to, and a great tribute to the life Jason lived.I have no doubt that he is in a better place, I'm only sad for those of us still in this world, as we're definitely poorer without him. Here's sending everyone who loves and mourns him all of my thoughts and prayers, and here's looking forward to the day we can meet him again in the hereafter.-Dan Metzger
