I will always miss christmas eve celebrations at Nani's house. uncle Sal, uncle sparky, and my father Charles Lovano would play Santa Claus to all of the kids. I remember nanu my grandfather would play the Ukele ! and other instruments he had for had holidays. It was the happiest time of year at the family home on Elbur avenue in Lakewood. nani and nanu kept us all well fed with plenty of wine, homemade Gnocci. Itlalian sausage , desert cake and of course nani's christmas cookies and homade beanulata with honey!!!I miss the good times and open generosity and love from Nani and Nanu . They brought really good memories to me as a child. I will always remember them and celebrate their lives and good values they taught me growing up in cleveland. I will be attending sunday mass at Grace cathedral in San Francisco to say my prayers and light a candle for their spirits to re-unite in heaven! Always love grandson and nephew johnny!!!
