As one of Grace’s best friends, Joy was like a second mother to me in grade school and high school. She often referred to me as her “third daughter’. Most recently, I was able to spend some one-on-one time with Joy by visiting her weekly at the nursing home. We shared so many memories (and a few secrets!) and laughed a lot. I looked forward to those visits and will miss those special conversations. May the love that Joy had for Grace, Butch, and Sandra carry them through this sad time and be a beacon of support for them going forward.
