Linda Louise Broadhurst's Obituary
Linda Louise Broadhurst, 76, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 24, 1949, she was the cherished daughter of the late Isabelle and Kurt Schalkner, whose values and spirit she carried throughout her life.
Linda was a devoted mother to her two children, Ryan Broadhurst (Chrissy Ciatti) and Robin Broadhurst (Thomas Cowles), who were the center of her world. She took immense pride in her family, and her joy only grew with the arrival of her beloved grandson, Clay Broadhurst, who brought light and laughter into her later years. She is also survived by her sister, Kathy (Dave) Wille, with whom she shared a lifelong bond filled with memories, support, and deep affection. She will also be remembered as the beloved Aunt of Jaclyn (Lucas) Boos and Dan (Kara) Wille.
Linda graduated from Elyria High School in 1967, then went on to Bowling Green State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She continued her education later in life earning a Master’s Degree in School Counseling.
Linda spent her career in the Avon Lake School systems. She started working at Learwood Middle school as a teacher and then later moved to Avon Lake High School when she became a Guidance Counselor.
Linda can be remembered for her passion for spending time with family, and cheering on her grandson, Clay, at athletic events. She enjoyed giving back to her community, and was a member of many local organizations. She simply had a big heart, and loved to help others whenever possible.
May her soul find peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
