Lon J Zeager's Obituary
Lon Zeager, 73, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2021. Born on November 28, 1947 to the late Lon and Dorothy (nee Meyers) Zeager. Lon was the proud owner of Mader Dampers, Inc. for 36 years and remained as a sales consultant until his passing. He was an avid golfer and a member of Elyria Country Club for 23 years. Lon will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity and amazing sense of humor. He was very much loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Bagacka); loving father of Lon James (Julie) and Michael (Jill); cherished grandfather of Loryn, Gavin, Warren, Trenten, and Joslynn Zeager, Mackenzie Gott (Anthony); treasured great-grandfather of Greyson Reed, Anthony, and Mya Gott; and cousin and friend to many. Memorial visitation will be on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 2-4 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4 PM with Pastor David Buegler officiating. He will be privately laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lorain Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035 or to St. Jude’s online at stjude.org/givehope.
