Lorraine G. Grace, 84, of Columbia Station, Ohio, passed away on December 10, 2024. Born on February 16, 1940, in Lakewood, Ohio, to the late Edmund and Ida Berhent, Lorraine lived a life of Christian faith enriched by creativity, kindness, and dedication to her family.
Lorraine is survived by her beloved children, Erin Grace, Kevin Grace, and Heather (Shawn) Johnson. She also leaves behind her brother, Dennis (Linda) Berhent, her sister-in-law, Laurel Berhent, and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roland Berhent.
A gifted musician, Lorraine loved playing the piano and found joy in all forms of crafts. Her love for the Marblehead area of Lake Erie was well-known among those who knew her. People often describe Lorraine as a very kind person, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. She was a dedicated mother and friend, always putting her loved ones first.
Lorraine was also an avid sports fan – especially all things Cleveland and Ohio – Buckeyes, Browns, Indians/Guardians, Cavaliers – and, as long as they weren’t playing the Browns, Bengals.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Southwest General Hospice, Altenheim Senior Living, or St. John Lutheran Church in Strongsville in Lorraine's memory. Lorraine's life was a beautiful example of faith, creativity, kindness, and family devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
