Oma was awesome!! I especially like when she made extra pillow cases for me. About 35 to 40 years ago she called me to say she made me some pillow cases. I was like oh cool she crochet some pillow cases until I got there and found out they were this awesome pastry!!! ❤️❤️❤️
From the Walkers to the Seilers, our Hearts are with you all today. I will never forget my childhood filled with German weddings, dances and celebrations with your family. I even brought a pet rabbit home to Dayton after one trip to Cleveland. Your mother had a glow about her and a smile that went on for days... Love to you all, miss you all very much.

Oma was very involved with all of her grandchildren and some of my favorite times with her was the Friday night dance practices down at the German club. I always looked forward to this because a lot of the times, we would also have a sleepover at her house with my cousins. Oma of course was an amazing cook, so we always ate great when we were over there. I remember eating ice cream and just having such a fun time at her house. Going down to dance practice wasn’t just about practice either. It was about seeing all of our friends and playing throughout the whole building with everyone. I remember driving in one of her old cars downtown every Friday, all of us packed in the back seat. It’s crazy how clear of a memory I have of that time. She spent so much time with us, she definitely had a very special place in her heart of all of her grandchildren and it showed. She was so proud of all of us. She was a very special lady and one amazing grandmother. I will always have a special place in my heart for her and I will miss her greatly.
Your ship has set sail, taking you on a journey where we cannot go, to a place where you will be met with shouts of Joy and open arms from those who have gone before you. One day, we too, will take this journey to be met by you and those who have gone before us. Until then, Aufwiedersehen! Marie, you were the hardest working woman I have had the pleasure of meeting. Your laughter, your voice in the choir will remain in my memories forever. You are now with many other members of the Eintracht/Saxonia. May you all be singing up a storm. I will miss you dearly. Oma was all about her family. Even just a few weeks ago she told stories about each of us girls and our cousins. She loved when we were all together and had absolute pride when her grandchildren (and even their children) would dance for the dance group.
When we were little we could always count on ice cream for breakfast, “Oma” bread and homemade desserts. I spent more time with her than any other grandparent in my life and will never forget her voice or her smile when she would see you for the first time. She loved me for me and she will be missed. Love you Oma! ❤️
