Melenda and I were sisters by marriage but friends from the start. She and I always enjoyed our time together, she was the baker and I the cook. The one thing I was always blessed with was my boys were her nephews and she loved them unconditionally and always made time for us when we visited. She will forever be missed and there will be a void in our lives that cannot be filled.
I've known Melenda since she was a little girl and watched here grow into a beautiful young woman. Her and her grandmother were my neighbors. She had the most beautiful hair and I was always happy to help her style and color it for several of her highschool functions. She also cared for my daughter when she was little. She was always so eager to do nice things for all the younger kids on our street. Buying teen magazines and cutting out pictures and making collages for my daughter was one of the sweetest things. She will be missed greatly. She was just one of those people that could get along with most everyone and was always respectful to her elders. I loved her and her grandma Linda very much. So many fond memories.
