Melenda "Mindy" Smigelski's Obituary
Melenda “Mindy” Smigelski was a loving wife, sister, aunt, daughter‑in‑law, cousin, and friend. Though she has passed on, her warmth, kindness, and the memories she created will forever live within each of us. We will remain forever grateful for her care, her compassion, and the love she so freely gave. We will love and miss her always.
Mindy adored her husband, Michael, loving him “to the moon and back.” They were inseparable, like peanut butter and jelly, perfect complements to one another in every way.
She held a deep love for her Grandma Linda Vest, who raised her as a daughter. Her brothers, Robert and James, were always close to her heart. Mindy cherished her nephew Luke and her nieces Kenzie and Willow, spending as much time with them as possible. She treasured sleepovers, birthday parties, and every moment she could share with them.
Her cousin Kelly was like a sister, and their bond was irreplaceable.
Mindy also had a special place in her heart for her many beloved pets. She adored her dachshunds—Dipper, Dobby, and Binx—as well as her cats Jinx and Diava. She even doted on her three chickens, Bubbles, Ginger, and Honey. Each one was part of her family.
Mindy had a true passion for creating a warm and beautiful home. She loved decorating for the holidays, making crafts, and baking, her desserts were legendary within the family.
A deeply nurturing soul, Mindy always hoped to be a mother. After a family member, Lizzy, recently experienced a miscarriage, the family finds comfort in believing that Mindy is now holding and caring for that precious little one in heaven.
She touched the lives of many, and her memory will be carried in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her husband, Michael Smigelski.
