Just came across Renate's obituary and am saddened to learn of her passing. Renate was a special lady! I had the pleasure of meeting Renate when I worked at the Medina office of PSE Cresit Union. We knew we were in for a treat when Renate walked through the door. When I say treat, yes, chocolates, fruits but more important were the stories she told of her youth and the events she had lived through. When I left the credit union I continued to keep in touch thru birthday cards and Christmas cards. To read her obituary does not give justice to the life she lived from the conversations we had with her. To her family I send you my sympathies and know that you were blessed to have this special woman in your lives!

Renate was a beautiful and integral part of the Tri-C Western Campus community. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity touched everyone at West. She always had a smile and kind words for faculty, staff, and students, delivered with a sparkle in her eye. She shared her love for flowers with all, often bringing them from her garden to give to others. When she retired, her presence on campus was greatly missed. Renate enriched everyone's experience at Western Campus of Tri-C. She greeted students, staff and faculty with a ready smile and wisdom when it came to practical ways of getting things done. She was a wonderful person who shined brightly from the inside always. We missed her when she retired but she had earned the rest and relaxation. Our experience at West was nicer because of Renate. RIP after a job well done- Dr Belle

Mickey and i will miss you so much we loved all the phone calls we had and all the visits with you. We are so grateful for the friendship ❤️ we had with you for many years. We loved when you called and corrected Mickey's German and I loved when you would call and tell me to make sure i dress warm for work because it was going to be cold.You will always have a special place in our 💕 hearts.
