Richard “Dick” Phillips, age 86 passed away on October 16, 2021. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Karen, his children Terry (Lloyd) Troyer, Mike (Liz) Phillips, Shelley (Ron) Bowling, and Jonathan Phillips. His grand Read Obituary
Uncle Dick was a funny, kind, generous soul! While life will not be the same for family and friends without uncle Dick, we are better able to face life’s challenges with the love and guidance he shared.

Dick was the first person we met in 2012 after purchasing our lot in Del Webb. He introduced himself and showed us the hole in his backyard for their pool/spa. Then he yelled "Karen, come meet our new neighbors!" It was the beginning of a fantastic, enduring friendship.

Dick, I will miss you more than You will ever know. A neighbor for over 10 years, you were like a family member to me. I loved sharing thoughts and past memories with you. I thought it was great when you walked down to my house and visited, and the same when I went to your home. You and wonderful Karen were a match made in heaven. You have been in my prayers for years. I hope one day we will meet again to enjoy our future and maybe have a drink.

Mr. Phillips (as I called him for most of my life) was the best Godfather a person could ask for. And while he may not have been the official one on record (whom I never met), he was the only one that played an important role in my life and gave me the privelege of claiming him as my Godfather. He knew me, literally, since the minute I was born. He was the first man I ever met and I know how lucky I have been to have him in my life.
While I knew him while I was a child, he became my GF as an adult. The memories that Brenda and I have made with him and Karen (our adopted GM) stand out for the amout of laughter and love we had. We always had the best of times whenever we could get together, whether it be at the lake in Virginia, or doing oyster shots at the beach, wherever we were, it was the best of times. And as I've sent in many texts over the years....Here's to the BEST GF EVER!! I love you.
