Shirley Lou Ives' Obituary
Shirley Lou Ives, 79, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2024. Born on January 13, 1945, to the late Leon and Zelda Ives, Shirley lived a life full of compassion and dedication to others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Marylin (John) Ives. She is survived by her brother, Warren (Judy) Ives, and her cherished nephews, Basil (Terri) Reynolds, Brian Ives, and Shawn (Rochelle) Stephenson. Shirley was also a loving great-aunt to Daniel (Erik) Hamilton, Brandon Reynolds, Samantha (Adam) Ray, Bailey (Josh) Kushner, Jonah Smutak, Savannah Ives, Jackson Ives, Rylie Ives, Emma Navratil, Delaney Ives, Aiden Ives, Ellie Stephenson, and Emily Stephenson.
Shirley dedicated many years of her life to nursing, working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Metro Health until her retirement. Even in retirement, her passion for caring for others continued as she worked as a home health nurse, providing comfort and support to the elderly.
Known for her kind-hearted, caring, and giving nature, Shirley was a strong lady who always ensured that everyone around her was well taken care of. Her legacy of love and compassion will be remembered by all who knew her.
Memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Columbia Township Cemetery.
