Thomas C. Egan's Obituary
Thomas C. Egan, age 83, of Rocky River, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Ames Hospice after a long battle with heart issues.
He was born October 6, 1936 in Cleveland, son of the late Charles and Margaret (nee Laffner) Egan. Thomas was a very proud Retired Cleveland Firefighter. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and watching old westerns. Thomas loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Devoted husband of the late Patricia (nee Bliss); cherished sister of Lucille Egan and the late Carolyn O’Neill; beloved father of Christopher Egan, Elizabeth (Mike) Shaffer, and the late Charles Egan; loving grandfather of Kimberlee, Michael, and Catherine; treasured brother-in-law and uncle to the Bliss family; Godfather of Eric and Brian.
Funeral service will take place on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 12NOON in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Interment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Thomas’ name are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192 or to a charity of one’s choice.
