Walter George Viergutz's Obituary
Walter George Viergutz, age 93, of Westlake, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2020.
He was born February 17, 1927, in Ravenna, son of the late Walter and Rose (nee Lukas) Viergutz. Walter was a proud member of Carpenters Local 435. He was an avid golfer and loved playing poker. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Bronson, Missouri. Walter loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Devoted husband of 50 years to Anna Mae (nee Kroupa) Viergutz; cherished father of Karen M. (Charles) Hull, the late Bruce J. (Sherry Von Seggern), and the late Brian J. Viergutz; loving stepfather of Raymond J. Knitter, and Rae Anne (Ray) Thomas; beloved grandfather of Eric Viergutz, Kenny and Brooke Hull, and Keith (Annelyse) Thomas; treasured great grandfather of Maddox and Harper Thomas; caring brother of James W. (Geraldine) Viergutz, Joann L. (Bob) Walker, and the late Robert J. (the late Marion) Viergutz; dearest uncle and friend of many.
To ensure the health and safety of our community, we are following all guidelines set by local, state and CDC officials. A private family service will take place followed by burial in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
